PSU Recruitment for Engineers: Which PSUs Use a GATE Score and Which Hold Their Own Test
A PSU can switch between a GATE score and its own test: AAI, ONGC and Coal India did. In the newest notices, eleven PSUs select on a GATE score and eight hold their own test. Each GATE-based notice names the GATE year it accepts.

In the newest notices on this page, with GATE 2027: POWERGRID, NTPC, GAIL and Coal India (Mining paper); NPCIL accepts GATE 2025, 2026 or 2027. With an earlier GATE year: EIL (GATE 2026), NLC India (GATE 2025), NALCO (GATE 2025), DVC (GATE 2025, for IT, Mining and Chemical posts), NHPC (GATE 2024 or 2025, in a special drive for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates) and RITES (GATE 2024). None of these six names GATE 2027; each notice names the GATE year or years it uses.
Which PSUs hold their own test?+
